Personal information requests
You can request access to your personal information.
Use this route to ask Gromzi about information connected with a website inquiry, a chat or other contact with the practice. An inquiry about legal consultation in Austin does not have to become an engagement before you can raise a privacy question. Optional advertising consent is not required.
Say what you want to know or change.
You do not need to quote a law or choose the right legal term. Describe the information concerned and the action you want. The categories below help route the request; they are not a promise that every right applies in every location or to every record.
- Access or a copy
- Ask whether Gromzi holds personal information about you and request access to it. You can identify a particular interaction, such as a website inquiry, rather than asking for every record. Where applicable law provides a right to a portable copy, you can ask about the available format.
- Correction
- Identify the information you believe is inaccurate and the correction you propose. A current reply address can differ from an address recorded in an earlier message. Correcting contact details does not necessarily mean rewriting an accurate record of what was originally sent.
- Deletion
- Ask for information to be deleted and, if you wish, identify the contact or purpose concerned. Some records may need to remain for a legal obligation or another permitted reason. An explanation of a restriction is different from a promise that everything has been erased.
- Objection, restriction or withdrawal
- Ask about stopping or limiting a particular use of information. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent for the relevant use. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was lawful before it took effect.
- Advertising choices or another privacy question
- Ask about optional advertising data, a recipient or the handling of a previous request. Use plain wording if none of the other categories fits. Several requests can be described in the same message.
The privacy notice explains the information collected and the reasons for using it. If the issue is simply that the website cannot be used with your device or assistive technology, the website assistance route is a more direct starting point.
Identify the contact, not the case history.
An approximate date and the reply details used at the time can help locate a message. A receipt number, if you have one, can also help. For example, “my contract review inquiry sent using this email address” identifies the interaction without repeating the contract or the parties’ confidential information.
Use the email address or telephone number already associated with the interaction where that remains possible. If you no longer control it, explain that in a sentence. Do not send a password, a chat access token or a full account number to prove the connection.
Leave identity documents out.
The initial request form does not ask for a passport, driving licence, government identifier or other identity document. It also does not accept file uploads. Do not copy the contents of those documents into the message box or attach them to an initial email.
Information about another person can appear in correspondence or a legal document. A request for your information is not automatic permission to disclose that person’s information. Records may require review or redaction before a copy can be supplied.
Verification should match the risk.
A reply address on a form does not, by itself, establish that the sender is entitled to receive a record. Before disclosing information or making a change that affects someone’s records, Gromzi may need to check the connection between the requester and the information concerned.
The check should be proportionate to the request and the sensitivity of the information. Confirming control of an existing contact channel may be relevant. A request for a copy of a sensitive record can require a different check from a general question about how the website handles information. Only information reasonably needed for the check should be requested.
If further verification is needed, the follow-up should explain what is needed and arrange a separate secure exchange appropriate to the information. Do not send identity documents through this form or chat. If the proposed method is inaccessible, ask about another method before providing additional information.
Where identity cannot reasonably be verified, disclosure or deletion may be limited. That prevents a stranger from obtaining information or changing someone else’s record merely by entering a name. You can ask for an explanation of what remains unresolved without resending the whole request.
An agent should identify their authority.
If you are acting for someone else, put your own name and contact details in the reply fields. State that you are an authorized agent in the request description and identify the person whose information is involved only as far as needed to route the request. Do not impersonate that person by submitting the form as though you were them.
Gromzi may need evidence that the person has authorized the request, or another basis on which you can act, as permitted by applicable law. Direct confirmation from that person may also be needed. The nature of the authority and the information requested determine the appropriate check; an agent’s assertion alone may not be enough.
Do not attach an authorization document to an initial email or paste a signed instrument into the form. First describe your role and ask for the appropriate route. Authority to make a request does not necessarily include authority to receive every record, and a reply may need to go directly to the person concerned.
A privacy request does not require advertising consent.
The checkbox in this form concerns using the request details to respond. It does not allow optional advertising storage, and it does not waive privacy rights. You can submit after declining optional storage. For a browser preference change, use the storage choices rather than waiting for a reply to a data request.
Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising bring visitors to this site. Meta Ads may also be a source within the current advertising operation. Their click identifiers are gclid for Google, msclkid for Microsoft and fbclid for Meta. You do not need to find or submit one of those identifiers to make a request.
Consent Mode v2 starts with ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied before advertising integration runs. They remain denied until the visitor allows the relevant optional storage and are set back to denied on decline or withdrawal. Advertising click identifiers are not persisted in optional storage before permission.
A denial is not a promise that no cookieless measurement signals are sent. Nor does changing a browser preference delete information already lawfully received by a platform. A request to Gromzi concerns information the practice controls; a platform may need to receive a separate request about information it controls. See the Microsoft privacy statement, Google privacy policy and Meta privacy policy for their handling and request routes.
Necessary storage for requested functions, such as the chat conversation token, is separate from optional advertising storage. Clearing a browser token may remove the means of resuming a chat without deleting the messages held by the service. To ask about those messages, identify the approximate conversation date and the contact details you used, not the token itself.
Timing depends on the request and the law.
There is no single response deadline that applies to every visitor and every request. Applicable law determines the response period, any permitted extension and the effect of necessary verification. The request’s scope may need to be clarified before the relevant records can be identified. A successful form submission confirms receipt by the website, not completion of that review.
A reply may explain a completed action, ask for a limited clarification or identify why all or part of a request cannot be fulfilled. Legal obligations, other people’s rights and applicable protections for records can affect what may be disclosed or removed. Deletion is not a way to cancel an engagement or erase an obligation under it; those matters are governed separately by the engagement terms.
Information supplied to make and verify a request is used to handle it and maintain an appropriate record of the response. Retention depends on that purpose and applicable obligations; there is no fixed deletion interval stated for every request. Do not supply extra sensitive information in the hope of making review faster.
If a response does not address the request, reply to [email protected] and identify the unanswered point. You may ask for reconsideration or an appeal where applicable law provides that route, and you may contact a competent privacy regulator. The available route depends on your location and the law that applies.
Send a data request.
Give a name and at least one way to reply. Select the closest request category, then describe the action you want in your own words. If jurisdiction is relevant to a particular right, you can state your state or country in the description without supplying a full street address.
The form is not the only route. Email [email protected] with “Data request” in the subject, or telephone +1 (865) 555-2505 to ask how to make the request. You can write to Gromzi at 2 River Road, Unit B, Austin, Texas 82632, United States. The same proportionate verification considerations apply whichever route you choose.
Keep the receipt, not a second copy of sensitive records.
After a confirmed submission, keep the receipt number shown with the confirmation. Use it when asking about progress. If the form reports an error or no confirmation arrives on screen, do not assume delivery; use email or telephone and mention that the website attempt may have failed.
A follow-up should identify the earlier request and what has changed. There is no need to resend documents or repeat private information. If a response arrives asking for more information than you expected, verify the request using the published telephone number or email address before sharing anything further.
For help reading the reply or completing this form, use website assistance. For a new inquiry about personal legal consultation in Austin, return to the practice contact section. Keeping those messages separate helps distinguish a privacy request from proposed legal work.
